Snoopy was a rescued male Neotoma macrotis (Big-eared woodrat.) Their primary range is Central to Baja California, from the Sierras to the Coast. Woodrats often decorate their nest, or midden, with "little treasures" they've collected. Leading to their other common names: Packrats or Traderats.
